Mission and values

Bazart's mission is based on three core values: 'play and experiment,' 'inclusion,' and 'participation.' These core values form the foundation of our movement and guide us in everything we do. They inspire us to create a diverse, supportive, and creative community where children and young people can connect with each other, as well as with play, art, and culture.

Play, Art, and Experiment:

We encourage experimentation and help children and young people express themselves in a playful and artistic way. We believe that play and art, in all their forms, can enhance each other. Our activities offer a mix of both elements. Through collaborations with various cultural and other partners in youth work, we continuously broaden our artistic horizons.

Inclusion:

Bazart aims to create a warm and homely atmosphere where everyone feels welcome. Our movement is a personal space where children and young people feel safe to explore their creative passions in complete freedom. We strive for a community where every individual is encouraged and supported in their own strength. At Bazart, we aim to lower as many barriers as possible so that anyone who wants to can find their way to us and feel at home, regardless of socio-economic status, ethnic-cultural background, religious beliefs, social-emotional background, gender identity, sexual orientation, skill level, or their intersection.

Participation:

At Bazart, we celebrate friendship and give children and young people the space to be their authentic selves. We ensure that decisions are made collectively, welcoming and respecting everyone's input. We encourage participation within our movement. It’s about hearing and seeing each other, where everyone's ideas and perspectives are valued. We center the strengths and talents of each individual, promoting their development and growth, with room for trial and error. We offer various training opportunities so that everyone actively has the chance to shape themselves and discover their talents. In this way, we encourage individuals to seize all their opportunities for growth.
